Replacement Value For Historical Building

rDesktop

A few days ago I installed more for fun than benefit from rDesktop on my n810 and furnished under this instructions.

But I will describe here in German, as I it did.

for the use of rDesktop you need Windows 2000 Server / Professional, Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Ultimate.

For my version of the installation must have installed BecomeRoot.

Who has already can go on that first step to skip directly to step two.

first To install BecomeRoot you have in the "Red Pill Mode" switch, that I open the program manager will then open the drop-down menu and select Options-> Application catalog from .... There, you click "New" and then "Internet address" "matrix" and click on "Cancel". In the dialog that opens, click on "Red". Now it closes all open programs and click on the link below: http://eko.one.pl/maemo/dists/bora/user/binary-armel/becomeroot_0.1-2_armel.deb

you open this file with Program Manager, and install it can be. Now you have to switch back to the "Blue Pill Mode". This is achieved by the above-described scheme, only this time it clicks, logically, in a dialogue on "Blue".

second Now you can download for OS2008 rDesktop by following the link to the external memory card (MMC1): https: / / garage.maemo.org/frs/download.php/2364/rdesktop_0.4_armel.deb

Now open "Terminal X" and gives the following commands (not for each paragraph Enter, in parentheses with enter): sudo

gainroot

cd / media/mmc1 (if you saved the file on the removable memory card)

dpkg-i rdesktop_0.4_armel.deb

Now one "X Terminal" and should close it "rdesktop" in the program menu item "Tools" section.

third Before use, you must configure Windows a little.

given to set up a new user account that is secured with a password. Click

In Control Panel, User Accounts, create a new account and perform the specified steps.

One can also see his normal user account as long as it is secured with a password.

The account must also have administrative rights.

Activate Now you have to for this user remote support.

Control Panel -> System ->

In Remote Control -> System -> Computer Name write down the name out of the working group, or remembers him.

Now there is still Start -> Run "cmd", and in the window that opens type "ipconfig". From there, you write off the IP address.

Now it has all the information to proceed to the Internet Tablet.

4th It opens "rdesktop" and gives the following:

RDP server (IP address)

Username: (the name of the Windows user account)

Password: (the password of the Windows user account)

Domain: (the name of the group)

activated When the check boxes just "Save these settings"? be logged

must now on the Windows PC that user and you can click OK. If "rdesktop" automatically closes without anything happening, you have to turn the tablet off and on or in the "X Terminal typing: sudo

gainroot

reboot

Now it can be again . try If the first connection is is "rdesktop" very stable.

Tip: For browsing the Internet through rDesktop with Firefox full-screen mode, and the add-on "grave and Drag very useful.

write an e-mail any questions, or leave a comment.

Enjoy rDesktop

My 3 Yr Old Complains Of Sore Legs

Stratagus for KDE Maemo

Just a quick update on what I am doing so ...
Now I'm coming slowly into the Abistress and there does end a little relaxation and again very good. Stratagus (Warcraft engine) fits there quite well in the picture. It runs so well on the tablet that you might think it would be especially written for it. Finally a strategy game for Maemo, which is also fun. With
Widelands I'm not clear as I've always played Settlers III, Command & Conquer is not in the control of the True, and The Battle for Wesnoth me the download takes too long.
otherwise there is a lot of enthusiasm and fun for and with the Tablet, which I have now been just over two weeks.

Bushnell 3200 Elite 5x15

impressions

Installing KDE via the deb.'s Went smoothly. And KDE itself was quite decent cheer Tablet. Although not as fast as on a PC, but that's logical. Still, I have uninstalled it again because it does not allow you to work more efficiently, and that is what matters to me at the tablet. While it could be other perhaps impress, ala "Look what can this", but the Konqueror can not flash, and overall all the buttons too small and everything is complicated. One can of course be adjusted everything, but I threw it but not worth it, because it has the normal Hildon interface the same functions, and everything still runs pretty fast.
Maybe I try again in a few months' time off.

Sintesi Hair Color Intensifyer

It goes on!

After looking at on Friday (11.04.08) finally was able to buy the N810 in media market is now on.
First thoughts and impressions were as follows: OMD (oh my dog), I got it! The workmanship is excellent and the touch screen is breathtaking. By the way, I'm blogging straight from the N810.
There are also more open WiFi hotspots in Berlin than I thought, you come almost to every corner of the net. So I wonder if in a big city a WIMAX - the Tablet Edition would even be useful.
What do you think? Now I have
rumzuprobieren up a bit before everything is doable (rDesktop has not worked out somehow, can someone help me?) And then hit me when my 4GB miniSDHC is yet to install KDE.

If you have questions or suggestions you may have and of course write me anytime!
